I can honestly say I have never in my life heard of Dover, Delaware until I went there two years ago for Firefly Music Festival. However, I couldn’t be more excited to return this year to the Dover International Speedway for another round of Firefly! June 19-22, The Woodlands of Dover will be transformed into a magical array of 7 stages, hammock groves, glowing kite paths, hot air balloons, and did I mention SEVEN stages?
Firefly 2014 has a handful of the perfect festival bands and a wide range of different types of artists playing through out the 4day festival. Foo Fighters, Outkast, Jack Johnson, Beck, Pretty Lights, Arctic Monkeys, Broken Bells and more will be gracing us with their presense. Honestly so excited to see Dave Grohl hit the main stage for all us Fireflyers. Other heavy hits I can’t wait to see are Weezer, Childish Gambino, Protugal. The Man and RAC! But really, all hail Grohl.
Day schedules are already up but head on over to the Firefly Facebook page to see the hourly schedule up NOW!
Some of the highlights include Band of Horses into Foo Fighters followed by Girl Talk on Friday night. Saturday will bring future-urban music to the woods when Outkast is followed by a glorious, two-hour set by Pretty Lights. And Sunday Funday boasts Weezer, Ziggy Marley, Washed Out and Broken Bells. Not bad for a state that takes just a couple hours to drive through…
See ya in the Woodlands!
