Brooklyn Comes Alive announces 2018 lineup with super-jams galore!

Brooklyn Comes Alive, the NYC-based super-jam festival, has announced their 2018 lineup complete with tribute parties, rare super-bands, and totally unique configurations with some of the jam world’s most acclaimed players.

For tribute parties, the Purple Party will pay homage to Prince, while George Porter Jr. and Taz – only a few generations apart – will unite to honor the legends Colonel Bruce Hampton, Butch Trucks, Gregg Allman, and more. Steely Dan will have their music visited by the likes of Nick Cassarino, Joey Porter, Michelangelo Carubba, and more.

Karina Rykman will join forces with Robert Walter and Dave Harrington for what should be an experimental and upbeat, funky set. The Adam Deitch Quartet returns, following shows in the NYC and Denver area over the past year or so. Switch Hitters pairs heavy keyboardists Wil Blades and Nigel Hall together. Erick “Jesus” Coomes leads a great cast for his peasant party. The list goes on…

Perhaps most intriguing though is the super-group sitting at the top and center spot: Cory Henry, Nikki Glaspie, Scott Metzger, Mononeon, and Skerik…We’ll have to see what that one sounds like for sure.

With more to be announced, this upcoming Brooklyn Comes Alive, the fourth one in just as many years, promises to be the best version yet.
